Yaron Stavi
Yaron Stavi was born in Israel where he started playing Double Bass and Electric Bass.
He moved to Berlin in 1996 and studied there with Prof. Rainer Zepperitz at The Academy of Arts. Between 1997 and 2002 Yaron has played in many symphony orchestras under conductors such as Pierre Boulez, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Neville Mariner, Marris Jansons and others.
In 2002 Yaron moved to London and joined Gilad Atzmon’s Orient House Ensemble. He has since played with many artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Richard Galliano, Larry Coryell, Peter King, Leszek Mozdzer, Gary Husband, John Etheridge, Jarek Smietana and more.
Yaron has recorded and performed with David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) and Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) and appears on Robert Wyatt last two albums Cuckooland and Comicopera.
He has also performed with Lilly Allen, Shane Macgowan and Madness’s singer Suggs and has been playing with Beatie Wolfe and Koby Israelite.
